Using TS-Doctor 4.1 under MacOS
TS-Doctor can also be used under newer versions of MacOS. As of MacOS Catalina (10.15), only 64bit applications are supported, so it is important to ensure that a more up-to-date Wine version is used. The easiest way to install is via Crossover 24.0.4 (for a fee) or PlayOnMac 4.4.4 (free).
Here we will show you how to install TS-Doctor 4.1 as a 64bit application via PlayOnMac 4.4.4 under 64bit MacOS 10.15 or higher. To do this, download and install version 4.4.4.
Download PlayOnMac 4.4.4 (574MB)
PlayOnMac Installation script from "Dvbtec"
After installation, start PlayOnMac and select "Run a local script" in the menu under Tools.
Select the script and continue. The script creates a separate prefix and installs Wine version 21.0.0-cx, which can also execute the 32bit code for the installer.
Then check the script, tick the box and continue.
Continue with the next steps.
Creating the virtual drive can take one to two minutes.
Here you can select whether the current version of the TS-Doctor should be downloaded or whether you want to run a locally available installation file.
Move the “PlayOnMac Wizard” window slightly to the side so that the smaller installation window is not covered. Proceed with the installation as usual under Windows.
Once the installation is complete, two icons should be visible via which TS-Doctor and TS-Player can be started.
When you start the application for the first time, you can select the language of the application, the TV standard and the display of the user interface.
The TS-Doctor then restarts with the selected user interface. If a license file is available, it can be installed via Help/Register license file. This eliminates the limitation of the runtime to 30 days and the limit of 500MB for file creation, as is usual with the trial version.
