Where does the EPG time bias come from: Is it 1. embedded in the broadcast TS, 2. added by the STB or 3. deduced by TSD somehow?
TV Guide (EPG)
Character coding table: ISO 6937 (eng)
EPG time bias: UTC+0:00
12/07/2017 9:00 AM - 9:32 AM... should be 12/07/2017 7:00 PM - 7:32PM
In most, but not all recordings, I'm getting UTC+0.00 instead of +10.00 and it's becoming a nuisance. I've checked my settings in my STBs and they are set for +10.00. Could a setting be added to TSD to override wrong UTC bias please?
The EPG time is always UTC. TS-Doctor uses the Windows localization settings to get the offset. At the moment I'm in France but if I'm back next week, I will check that.
No hurry :D
I've started making a list and discovered that on any particular broadcaster some recordings will have UTC+10:00 and others will have UTC+0:00 :-\
TS-Doctor has 3 types of UTC time bias detection.
- TOT (time offset table)
- Teletext database (mostly German channels)
- Windows API (local settings)
New version 2.0.81 will show the type of time bias detection in the log. Additionally there is a new optional registry key "UTCTimeBias" under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cypheros\TsDoctor2\Settings" to force a value for UTC time bias.
Create a DWord (32 bit) with a value of 10 should do the trick.
V2.0.81 is using TOT. Probably better if it used Windows API ::)
TV Guide (EPG)
Character coding table: ISO 6937 (eng)
EPG time bias (TOT): UTC+0:00
18/07/2017 2:04 AM - 2:58 AM ...
18/07/2017 3:02 AM - 3:24 AM ...
18/07/2017 3:24 AM - 5:00 AM ...
18/07/2017 5:00 AM - 6:00 AM ...
I'll add the DWORD and let you know if there are any problems.
AFAIK I did it correctly -
UTCTimeBias REG_DWORD 0x0000000a (10)
Now the log shows
TV Guide (EPG)
Character coding table: ISO 6937 (eng)
EPG time bias (Registry): UTC+0:00
So, not working :(
Ups, will be fixed soon.
OK, new version is online. It should work now.
Sorry for the inconveniences. Love Australia and Jim Jefferies :D
TSD still defaulting to TOT for me, but DWORD is working now :) Thanks!
... but, unfortunately the timeline is not showing anything :( Sorry.
TV Guide looks OK. Maybe the recording start time is not correctly detected.
Could you post the full log to support (at) cypheros.de ?
OK, will do asap. I'll have to edit the registry to enable the DWORD again. I disabled it because I need the timeline descriptions for my workflow.
I notice in my screengrab above that the Transponder Time Bias is still showing UTC+0:00, if it matters :-\
OK, UTC time bias is a bit tricky for Australia as you have 8 different country_region_ids and 4 different offset values.
Had to redesign the whole EPG time assignment but the next version should work better with Australian TV recordings.
